There is a YT video out there of a rat sitting on a cats back. The cat, in turn, is sitting on a DOG’S back, and the three are chilling in the street with their owner. If I tried that, and the rat escaped into traffic, the cat scratched the dog’s eye out, and the dog killed the cat, would it be the VIDEO’S fault? No. It would be MY fault for being an idiot.

Who ever reads the details on these, cmon I am ridiculous? Posting a video of something that killed an animal of mine WHICH I LIKED A LOT is ridiculous. Dogs apparently do NOT like chinchillas despite what this video shows. My dog went STRAIGHT for the chinchilla and I couldn’t catch him in time. You should remove this video before someone else makes a mistake like I did.

before EVER putting …
before EVER putting two new animals together you should ALWAYS slowly introduce them. Let them sniff one another. Have on in a cage while the other can get close, and if there is any sign of aggression or fear separate them. That kind of thing can be avoided if you are supervising and introduce them slowly.
