How Do you transition a chinchillas cage to a different part of the house without it being stressed?
i know chinchillas are very sensitive to noise so I’m gonna move him downstairs. I know that they are very sensitive to change also so can anyone help me move him downstairs without him being stressed.
Chinchillas are not quite that delicate of a flower. If you want to move your cage, go ahead and move it. If he was going to be surrounded by yowling cats or barking dogs, that would be one thing, but I move cages around all day long and the chins could care less.
My chins also don’t care one bit about noise. I play a radio for them all the time just so they are used to having noise. I shop vac, play the TV, the radio, the kids whoop and holler while playing video games. If you want your chin not to be sensitive to everything, and not to freak out every time something happens, then don’t try and keep him in a noise free cacoon. If it bothers him, don’t keep him in a high noise/high traffic area, but don’t feel that you have to keep him a cone of silence either.
