Chinchillas As A Pet?

I wanted to know if i am too young to have a chinchilla as i am 12 and go to bed at 10 30, i have had a hamster, guinea pig, gerbil, u name it! but i wanted 1 what i could love for a long time

i don’t think that your to young for a chinchilla. i had one and the only real problem with them is that they poop pretty often, about every 2-3 minutes. though it’s not a lot (it looks similar to a rat pellet in size and shape)
they’re very good pets though, i had one for years.

they are stinky and fairly mean. a chinchilla can kill a small to medium sized dog and easily kill a cat.. read up on them before you decide. you will also want to make sure they are legal to own in your area. some places they are illegal to have as pets. good luck

Are you sure you don’t mean a chupacabra can kill a dog? A chinchilla is one of the most docile animals. You should be fine to have a chinchilla at your age.

Chinchillas do not make good pets. They GET very mean as they age, just like any wild animal. They should stay in the wild where they belong. And she’s right- they poop lots more than a guinea pig. Nor do they live very long.
