Want to learn about Chinchillas and Hedgehogs as pets?
Just two animals I dont know anything about as far as keeping them as pets. Can anyone tell me what sort of housing requirements either has or maybe some pros and cons?

Chinchilla…
Farrett….
Hamster….
Rabbit…..
Any others…..??? and if any of the above is not classified as a rodent feel free to correct me!
I’m moving back to British Columbia. I have a Chinchilla and a hundred pound cage (pretty much brand new) its the Critter Nation Cage.
Air Canada lets you bring pets as a carry on,but I’m only 16 and it says if your an unaccompanied minor you arent allowed. Also it only talks about cats and small dogs. No chinchillas?
Also how would I get the cage from Ontario to BC? I’m on a budget.
As expensive as this willbe, I don’t really care. He’s my baby.
She/He is just a month old. (Ill obviously wait a bit before sale.) She/He is ebony (black), And very tame. Not sure yet if kitt is male or female. I am selling to a pet shop, As I would rather accept less money and let the kitt go to a loving home. How much should I charge for the chinnie
1 - If male
2 - If female
Thanks!
I have a friend who is determined to have his own Chinchilla, and my first reply was that as a small rodent-like creature, it would probably be generally smelly. He defense is that Chinchillas have no smell in their fur or even their feces. I’ve no idea where he’s getting this information. Does anyone with experience raising a Chinchilla know whether this is true or not? Also, how are chinchillas as pets, basically? I gathered that they’re rather frail with delicate digestive systems, and I want to discourage my friend from getting one if so. He likely doesn’t have the patience or proper handling they need.
