I want to get a pet but I don’t want the average rabbit or hamster that basicly EVERYONE has. I was thinking about getting a chinchilla. They seem really cool to have, but how good are they as pets? A few questions…

Are they friendly?
Are they costly?
Are they difficult to keep up with?
Are they noisy?
Are they high maitnence?
Are they fragile?
What do they eat?
How hard are they to find?
Are they dirty or smelly?
When do they need cleaned and with what?
